Help by Volunteering
Hospice and Palliative Care Charlotte Region would not exist without the support of its volunteers. Our volunteer network is the heart of the organization.
Our specially trained volunteers bring comfort and peace to patients and families through their simple gift of presence. They provide companionship to patients in their homes, skilled nursing facilities, and assisted living communities. Volunteers help patients cope with life's daily tasks and offer respite for weary caregivers. During the holiday season, they provide meals and gifts to the families. Special services volunteers offer support in areas such as notary services, hair styling, massage therapy, gardening, pet therapy, and carpentry. They also provide support at our grief camps for children and make prayer shawls and quilts.
Volunteers also add much needed support behind the scenes by helping our staff in the office, at special events, and fund raising projects.
The time commitment for adult volunteers is a maximum of 2-4 hours a week. Click here to download a volunteer application.
