Planned Giving

Planned gifts can ensure that future generations will benefit from the services of Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region. Through planned giving, there are many ways that your philanthropy can benefit your financial needs and tax planning. We can work with you and your advisor to help you plan for tomorrow while receiving maximum benefits today.

To learn more about planned giving options, such as bequests, gifts of stock or securities, and life insurance policies, please call Penelope Wilson, Development Officer, at 704.335.4325.

  • Bequests are gifts made through wills or living trusts. Gifts can be of a particular item, dollar amount, or percentage of your estate.
  • Gifts of stock or real property are one of the most mutually beneficial and easiest ways to give to Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region. Usually, gifts of stock or property are eligible for a tax deduction for the full market value on the date of the gift, and the donor avoids paying capital gains on the stock or real estate's increased value. For information about how to make a gift of stock or securities, including our electronic transfer guidelines, click here.
  • Life insurance policies and retirement accounts can also make a significant contribution. You may contribute a policy that you no longer need, or name Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region as the primary or secondary beneficiary of an existing policy. Our Federal Tax ID is 56-1219017.
  • The Hospice Legacy Society honors individuals who have made the generous and thoughtful decision to include Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region, or any of its programs, in their estate plans. Over the years these gifts have provided more than $4 million in support of our mission. By becoming a member, you help to ensure that end-of-life support for patients and families will be available to all in need.

If you have made a provision for Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region (including Hospice & Palliative Care Lake Norman, Hospice & Palliative Care Lincoln County, Kids Path® Pediatric Care , Levine & Dickson Hospice House or Palliative Medicine Consultants) in your estate plan, we would like to know about it. We want to have the opportunity to thank you for helping to ensure the future of hospice care in our community and to discuss how your future gift can best help the organization. Please call Penelope Wilson, Development Officer, at 704.335.4325 for more information.
