The Memorial Giving Program

Making a Gift in Honor of or in Memory of Someone

Many people find great satisfaction in making a gift in memory or in honor of a friend or loved one whose life has been touched by Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region. It is often a thoughtful remembrance in place of funeral flowers.

A special occasion contribution is also a great way to let someone know that you are thinking of them on a special day, whether it is a contribution recognizing a birthday, holiday, wedding, a promotion or civic honor, or the anniversary of a loved one's death.

When your gift is received, we will send you a letter of acknowledgment for your tax records. We will also take great pride in sending a special notification letter to the person(s) you are honoring.

Your memorial gifts support our mission to provide quality, compassionate palliative health care and support services to individuals and families facing life-threatening illnesses, enabling them to experience the end of life with grace and dignity.

Designating Our Programs in Your Loved One's Obituary

Many families request memorial gifts in lieu of flowers for their loved ones. For Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region, the impact of these memorial designations has been incredible. Each year, hundreds of families request that memorial gifts be directed to our organization!

Altogether, memorial gifts provide thousands of dollars each year to help us provide hospice care, grief support, and community education. Of all the donations we receive each year, more than half are made in loving memory of someone who valued the compassionate care provided by our organization.

If you would like to honor your loved one by designating memorial gifts to Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region or one of our programs, please let the funeral home staff know. They will ensure that this information appears in your loved one's published obituary.  If the obituary is published outside of the Charlotte region, please let us know by contacting Katie Benston at benstonk@hpccr.org or 704.335.4324.
